GO GREEN ENERGY EFFICENCY

Energy Effiency does not mean
you have to live in the dark.

Becoming Energy Efficient starts with taking a single step at a time, while each step you take is better then not taking a step at all. Make sense? The first step may of been finding our website and taking the time to read this article or maybe your first step was replacing your old water heater with a more energy efficient water heater. Or Maybe your first step was convincing others that leaving the lights on in every room of your house costs you money that is thought to grow on tree's.

Energy Effiency does not mean you have to live in the dark, Sit in a tub with a drop of water in it or take a shower with the water off while you lather up. It also doesn't mean you have to ride a bike to work or walk to school in 4 feet of snow for 20 miles like they did in my grand parents day.

So what can you do to start spending less money. How can you become more efficient with the money you worked so hard to get only 75% of. Well it's simply a matter of patience if your retro fitting a home and on a tight budget. If your remodeling or building new, you should include it in your design.

My first step when I bought my first house that is over 60 years old, was to change all the light bulbs to the florescent bulbs. Just by doing that, I reduced the electric required to light my house by 75%. If I had the cash I could of done what others say I should of done and installed LED light bulbs LED light bulbs would reduce the electric required to light my house 99%. Why didn't I choose to go LED in the beginning, well, the cost is why. The price for LED is 10 times the cost of florescent and florescent bulbs are 10 times more expensive then incandescent bulbs, also LED's were not available as they are today. So in order for me to make the first step I could of slowly purchased one bulb at a time or change them all at once. Either way I win. Either way I am saving money. Either way I took the first step.

The national average of payback is 8 years, so not exceeding that more than 2 years is good and of course getting it less is even better. So to put this in perspective, with a guaranteed efficiency for up to 25 years, you would avoid paying for the electric you produce and use for 15 to 17 years...

There are many other ways to become energy efficient and as the technology continues to advance, keeping on top of those changes can be difficult. I would like to guarantee that specialist in energy efficiency would know everything there is to know, but the truth is that while they are talking with you, the next best thing might of just came into market.
